On Tuesday, Yelp is making good on its promise to quickly pad the app's features. Version 1.2, an update available through the Android Market app on your smart phone, now lets you upload pictures from your Android phone to Yelp's site.

The initial feature set of Yelp's business review app for Android, which debuted December 7, was minimalist. It contained enough features--read-only access to Yelp.com, click-to-call, and a hyperlink to get directions from the browser or Google Maps--to avoid a user riot, but one would hardly call it the answer to Yelp's iPhone app.

BlackBerry users around the world are reporting that BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), e-mail, and Internet are all down and have been down for many hours. This happened is not for the first time. Its continentally bad happened last week on December 17 as well. None of the carriers are responsible for this outage, RIM is.
A spokesperson from RIM says that they are working on fixing this problem, but there is no estimate as to when it will get fixed. BlackBerry users are getting really frustrated and venting their thoughts on social networking sites.

Once your favorite site is hacked, your password is compromised and you have a world of insecurities to live in. On Twitter's part we can expect them nip the bud for its over 12 million users in US, before its too late. The popular microblogging Web site Twitter was hacked overnight, leaving the millions who use the site tweetless. Those who tried to access Twitter were redirected to a site that had a green flag and proclaimed "This site has been hacked by Iranian Cyber Army." The Web site was down for nearly an hour. Representatives from Twitter could not be immediately reached for comment, but the company spoke about the issue on its official Twitter page. "Twitter's DNS records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We will update with more information soon," the company posted at about 2:30 a.m. ET Friday. It was unclear who the group Iranian Cyber Army was and if it is connected to Iran. However, Twitter has had an interesting relationship with Iran. Twitter became so fundamental in spreading news of the protests that followed that the U.S. State Department asked the company to delay a planned shutdown for maintenance.
